April 19th, 2016 perhaps the best move so far and far less trips to site to reset  the system from the  idiots--it may seem harsh but zero tolerance to the idiots is in all our interests

We have removed the hang time from the repeater as it was being used to gauge access to the repeater without the use of a call sign, which is of course against your licensing conditions and very annoying for all that are listening.........We will trial this and see how it goes.
So if you hear someone calling though testing access please respond even if it's just to say that they are getting in.

We now have the ability to remotely shut off the repeaters power ,so if the box locks up it can be reset. Plus the TX can be turned off all via a GSM remote switch.

These changes have been done to keep the repeater open to all that want to use it.In other words with out the need for DCS codes

I will be on site after 2 pm to mend a switch on the power supply so we may need to turn on the good old pip repeater for an hour
the hang time seems to be really upsetting the idiots as they are now unsure if they are having any effect, its good news all round G4SUH

19/042016---The GB3WR Fusion unit  arrived back from YAESU after its  hardware and firmware update and was reinstalled  today at 14.00 pm and appears to be working 100%--also the shutdown was tested with this unit and works.
so all is well at GB3WR
